Warm Hearts, Warm Nights – Volunteer with Micah’s Cold Weather Shelter
As winter approaches, unhoused neighbors face the coldest months of the year. Micah Ministries’ Cold Weather Shelter program, running mid-November through mid-March, provides safe, welcoming overnight shelter. This season, there are two separate sites: one for men and one for women.
Ebenezer volunteers will serve on the first Saturday of each month, December through March, helping provide warmth, care, and connection to those who need it most. Volunteering is a meaningful way to make a real difference while experiencing the joy of community and service.
Locations:
- Men’s Shelter: 750 Kings Highway – enter via the ramp at the back. Parking in the CSB lot.
- Women’s Shelter: Fredericksburg Baptist Church – enter through the Red Door on Amelia Street. Parking on the street or in the church lot.
Share warmth and kindness this winter!
CWS Volunteer Orientations.
If you’re a new volunteer, or would
like a refresher, please join Micah on either: Sunday November 9 at 2:30PM or Tuesday
November 11 at 6PM at either location.
Please contact: Alacia: 540-200-8373, or alacia@dolovewalk.net for questions about orientation.
You do NOT need to do orientation to volunteer! It’s just a nice way to get to know how it all works before the season starts.
