Confirmation is an important step in our journey of faith. This year, we’re offering confirmation for 7th, 8th, and 9th graders. Students in 10th–12th grade are also welcome to participate — please talk with Zach before signing them up!
Throughout confirmation, students will explore the foundations of the Christian faith, what it means to follow Jesus, be part of the Church, and live fully for Him. We’ll also take a deeper look at baptism and what it means to belong to the body of Christ. At the end of the experience, students will have the opportunity to decide whether they’d like to join the church.
At Ebenezer, we typically offer confirmation for 7th, 8th, and 9th graders. However, since we were unable to offer it last year, this year’s class is being offered to 10th-12th graders as well.
Our confirmation experience will take place on Wednesday evenings from January 20 – April 10 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm. There is a $50 registration fee, which covers the cost of the retreat.
(we will not meet on February 18 or April 1).
In addition to our Wednesday gatherings, there are two key components:
- Confirmation Retreat (April 10–12)
A special weekend where we’ll dive deeper into what it means to live as a disciple of Jesus.
- Confirmation Sunday (April 19 at 10:30 AM)
Students will have the opportunity to publicly confirm their faith and commitment to Christ in front of the congregation.
