Come hear information on the ways that Alzheimer's affects an individual's ability to communicate across different stages and learn some tips on more effective communication.
Our speaker, Sydney Swartz, is the newest Fredericksburg Area Program Manager for the Alzheimer’s Association. Previously, she was a social worker with a focus on early childhood trauma, in addition to previous non-profit work in disability policy and advocacy. Volunteering has always been close to Sydney’s heart. After graduating with her master’s degree in Public Policy, she began working with the Association. In her role, Sydney is responsible for coordinating volunteer outreach efforts, educational program planning, community engagement, and supporting the families of the Fredericksburg region and beyond.
