New school supplies! Every student appreciates getting that haul of brand new school supplies: the freshly sharpened pencils, the shiny lunchbox, and the neat stacks of loose-leaf paper. Many kids in our community are fortunate enough to have all the supplies they require, but there are others right here in Stafford – yes, one of the wealthiest counties in the nation - that do not have the resources to start school with everything they need to be successful.
That’s where we come in. Our Build A Backpack campaign aims to provide 200 backpacks filled with school supplies to students in need at Moncure Elementary School and Hampton Oaks Elementary School. We’re asking you, your family, or your small group to help.
· Donate: Purchase a backpack, fill it with school supplies, and return it to church by July 31. Visit ebenezerumc.org/backpack to see the list of elementary school supplies.

· Sponsor: Let us do the shopping for you! Go to our website, register to sponsor one or more backpacks at $50 each, and we’ll take care of the rest.
The first day of school is August 9, so we don’t have a minute to lose! All backpacks must be donated or sponsored by July 31 so they can be put in the hands of counselors the week before school starts. With your assistance, we can ensure that children start the school year off fully prepared and ready to learn. Will you help?
